Bridget and Lucy

My nieces are the cutest ever and their moms are pretty fabulous too.  My Sister Melanie baked the goodies and Jess did the cute stand decor.  The girls dressed up as princesses to sell their baked goods.

Who wouldn't stop for some sweet treats from these cutie patooties?

Dutch Oven Cook-Off

Ethan got to participate in the Dutch Oven Cook-off this year with the Boy Scouts.  I let him decide what he wanted to make and he chose - PIZZA!  We got some tips and help from Grandpa and it turned out great!

Judges awarded certificates for the best dish overall, for the best Boy Scout dish and for the best Cub Scout dish.  Ethan won the top Cub Scout dish!  They did a drawing after all the certificates were handed out and Ethan came home with a griddle for the grill.  Way to go Ethan!!

Finally, he got his Bobcat award.  Ethan chose the Watermellon Cheer.

Proud Mom with her Bobcat!

Peyton's Crab

We have had hermit crabs for years but Peyton wasn't interested in them until the dogs left.  Now they are her favorite and she always wants to get them out to play.  I don't like it so much.  One time Ryan got distracted and we had a missing crab in our house.  We searched everywhere and finally it was bedtime.  I just knew it was going to be ME that happened upon it and the idea of it gave me anxiety.

Getting things cleaned up, I decided to unload Stock's backpack from swimming.  When I pulled his swim suit out of the bag, I got the shock I was anticipating all night...  there the crab was clinging to his shorts!  Ahhh... at least I didn't have to loose sleep all night wondering where it was crawling around.

Since this incident, Peyton has been told to not lose the crab.  She does a really good job keeping it contained.

Talofa Lava!

That is Hello in Samoan and just one of the things I learned at girls camp at Heber Valley.  It was a fabulous week and I grew to love each of these girls even more.

Henderson's in Roosevelt.

On the road - We stocked the kiddos up with toys...  Headed to Roosevelt, UT for Ryan's family reunion.  We pulled Mom and Dad's trailer to camp for the weekend.

Stopping in Heber, we had dinner at the Dairy Keen.
Peyton inhailed Grandma's shake.

The kids meal had putty that entertained Stock.

Getting all the wiggles out before getting back on the road.

We had a great time with family.  We enjoyed a fun day at the park playing washoes, lasso golf, eating, fishing in the fish pond, contests, raffle, and visiting.   Uncle Jeff taught us Poker and we all lost our money!

On the way home, we ran into some road construction.  We passed workers on a big rig close enough we could have touched them.  It was so funny and a site I won't forget.  The kids got to see up close and first hand how the roads are resurfaced.

I was driving and towing the trailer and it was extremely nerve racking to have to stay within the cones.

I think I did pretty good - If I hit a cone, oh well!

Pioneer Parade

Spur of the moment we found a spot to watch the Logan City Pioneer Day Parade.  It was refreshing to see the water flowing down the ditches.  The kids immediately started wading in it and floating leafs and twigs down.  It reminded me of childhood days.  When Mom would come into town to shop and run errands in the summer time, we would wait outside playing in the ditches.  It was fun to see my kids doing the same thing I enjoyed as a kid.

The parade was great!  The kids brought home a huge loot including water bottle, 2 frisbes, loaf of bread, a make it kit from lowes and TONs of candy.

An interesting float... incase any of you are in the market for a wholesale casket...

Pey got the waving down.  I think that is why we got so much stuff!

Lewis' in Lava - A Hogwarts Reunion.

Aren't our costumes the best?

A fun filled reunion of Muggles, Magic and Many Memories!

We had fun learning Quidditch, swam at the olympic pool, soaked in the hot pools and ate a ton!

Workin' at the Car Wash

I had the boys wash the truck and clean it out one Saturday. I got the idea from a neighbor who requires their kids to clean the family vehicle since the kids are the ones who create the mess. Ethan and Stock thought it was so much fun that they wanted to do more. After washing the car, they went from house to house asking if our neighbors wanted their cars washed. Kristen Thacker brought her little car up and the kids had a blast washing it. They did a pretty good job and even got paid for their service! Each of them made $3. Ethan thought it was the greatest thing ever since it made more money than their lemonade stand.

Peyton didn't want to miss out and grabbed a sponge to help out.

My little GIRL...

Somedays she can be cute and innocent...
And then there are other days...

Still, I gotta ♥ her!
She wants to be just like Mommy.

The Angel has Landed!

We heard the news that Angel Moroni was being placed on the new Brigham City Temple so we headed off for a field trip, inviting any YW who wanted to join us.  Jamie and I took our little munchkins to see first hand an unforgetable site, but things didn't go as planned...

We only had 3 YW that joined us since others decided to go with their own friends and families.  Aunika, Angela and Antonella were troopers!

It started pouring rain on our way through the canyon, the streets were already crowded when we arrived in Brigham City and we opted to do our viewing from the cemetary.  It was a great plan, thanks to Jamie, because we were able to get a great parking space and have coverage from the trees to protect us from the rain.  Luckily we had a few umbrellas to share too.

Due to the wind this is all we were able to witness:

They were able to get Angel Moroni in place about an hour after we left!

A Perfect Day for a Parade.

After our annual 4th of July Breakfast of champions at Mom and Dad's, we headed to Hyrum for the Parade.  The weather was perfect and we had a great spot.

Check out Stockton's loot!
