Weekend getaway cont.

Day 2 we spent the day at Temple Square.  Excited to visit Welfare Square via a shuttle tour we killed some time visiting the I am a Child of God exhibit at the Church History Building.

The kids tried their aim at the Celestial Kingdom.

Peyton's favorite was the stuffed animals in the manger scene.

The boys were looking forward to the slice of bread, cheese and chocolate milk at Welfare Square but when we went to catch the shuttle, the sister missionaries were mistaken on the time.  Since we were there on a Saturday  there were no more tours going on that day.  The Sister's new we were disappointed so they took us on a tour of the North Visitor's Center instead.

To make it up to the boys we went and got a treat at the Lion House.  Stockton thought is was so cool to be able to pick out whatever he wanted from the desserts and tried to go back for seconds thinking it was a buffet.

We wandered next door and toured the Beehive house.  I didn't think Ethan was paying attention to the Sister missionaries giving the tour until they asked the group, "What time does your mom get up in the morning to fix breakfast?".  Ethan responded, "Nine 'oclock!"  Well, I don't get up at nine but I surely don't get up as early as Mrs. Young did at 5:00 to fix breakfast for her large family.  The Sisters got a kick out of it.

After another long, fun day we left to get Ryan from class.
It was a fun little getaway!
